I have to apologize
When I first got my photoshop I did some horrible editing on pics. I was just learning, but some of my editing was very out there. It just looked horrible. I am sorry if you had to see any of that. Anyway, You saw the original of this picture earlier this week. I removed the candle and outlet. I also did some cropping, converted to black and white, and added an edge burn. I also decreased the brightness a little because it was taken in front of our new storm door that we got for Christmas. Let me know what you think.

Just coloring
This weekend Makayla and I did some pretty heavy duty coloring. She used her crayons that Santa brought her. We had so much fun.
The lonely crayon. There's always one.
Look! He's still lonely.

*Note the magnet. It says "To Thine own self be true". It is a quote from Shakespeare. That magnet came from his real house in Stratford upon Avon in Stratford, England? It really did. My wonderful souvenier. A magnet. Go figure. I usually buy Christmas ornaments, but this magnet really struck me. *

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary "All About Makayla"! Today is the anniversary of our family blog. I can't believe that an entire year has gone by since I started this blog. Over the past year Makayla has gone through many changes and stages. It has gone through a few facelifts and name changes but the central point of focus has not changed...Makayla. I have decided to change the name back to "All About Makayla". I have tried a few other names, but nothing has felt as right as "All About Makayla". Maybe it was becaus it wa the name that I originally chose for this blog or maybe it is because everything in our lives really is "All About Makayla". Either way the name is "All about Makayla". Over the past 15 months everything has been just that in our home.
I hope that you have enjoyed watching her grow as much as we have. I am just so grateful to be able to share her milestones with you through this blog. Thanks for sticking with us and following our family on this blog.

Mommy time!
Nathan is out of town this weekend doing inventory somewhere near New Orleans, so it has been just the girls. My parents came yesterday to visit. We went to the mall in NLR. Of course Makayla's stroller was in Nathan's car at the airport, so we rented a stroller at the mall. Makayla loves it when we have to do that because she acts like she is driving that blue police car around. You can tell that she thinks that she is hot stuff in that big, blue, mall stroller. Who knew that something that small could be so amusing to such a little person. Oh. You already knew that. Sorry. Anyway, Makayla and I have not gotten anything done today. I think that my mom is going to come over again today to visit again. If she does then maybe I can fold some of this laundry. If not then the world will not come to an end because the laundry did not get folded.

Ketchup!
This is never good. Not good at all. Ketchup on the wall! Dad really didn't like this! He felt better when I pulled out the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. There is a reason that they named it the Magic Eraser. I have yet to find anything that it won't erase! I would say that this tool is a must have for anyone with kids.

Cool Dad!
Makayla has a cool Dad. I guess that I am kind of biased, but we think that he's a keeper.
Eventhough he's a little silly.

Girly things
It is so odd how little girls like to do girl things from such a young age. As you can Makayla and Presley like to do girl things.

Today we played outside
Just another pic heavy post of Makayla pics. I didn't even do any captions.
Did I mention that this post was pic heavy? I really meant that.

photoshop makes the difference
Ok. These aren't pics of Makayla obviously. This is my "not so baby anymore" baby brother. He is 16, so he probably won't like it that I still call him that. Who cares? Not me! Anyway this ia a great picture of him that truly shows off his macho, 16 year old male. football quarterback ego. Right? I though that you might agree!
Anyway, I thought that this pic would be great to use the pioneer woman's boost action on for editing. Well, I use elements 6, so we can't use actions. The pioneer woman was kind enough to show us how to manually produce the same effect with our measely elements 6 (which actually does much more than I could ever figure out). I really love this action. I think that I am off to boost all of my photos.

Makayla's "new" table
Makayla's Granna came over on Sunday and gave her this table. Would you believe that it was mine when I was a little kid? I am sure that you will believe that in a few seconds.
Feeding Tana with her spoon. At least she used the spoon right? Well, I am glad that she fed him with the spoon this time. Eventually he just jumped up there and got her turkey.
Picking food up off her chair
Notice the broken chair...I did that, but I couldn't tell you how. That was a long time ago.
(See I told you that you would believe me.)
Bedtime buddy
This is Makayla's bear, Beary. He hangs oustide of her crib at all times to watch over her room to make sure that none of the other animals act up while we are asleep. I know that you are so glad that you got to meet Beary.
