My Aunt Connie sent me this quote from Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul. I just wanted to share it with you. It almost makes Freda's sleepless nights bearable. (Her name is Freda now instead of Macy because it turns out that she already knew that name.)

I think it's wise to call her "Freda" since she knew that name. If she were to get out and be loose in the neighborhood, you wouldn't want her to be confused with a name different than what she was used to. In some cases this can't be helped. When we found "Libby", we were clueless as to what her name was and she didn't answer to any that we thought fit her. Aunt Connie
