Since we have been home Montana has done his fair share of growling, but they are not fighting which is what we want right now. Those of you with dogs understand that there is a period of time after introducing a new dog into your home when the dogs have to adjust and determine dominance. Montana is showing her that he is the alpha dog in this house. This will take a couple of days but after that I am sure they will be the best of friends. The difference between the dog park and our home is that Montana is being territorial here because she is in his territory. The fact that they did form the pack mentality (as the staff member told us) in the dog park shows that they should be able to do that at home after this adjustment period.
Isn't she cute? She is very laid back and calm. She just went outside and scratched at the door wanting back in when she was done, so I think that she will be very easy to potty train if she is not 100% trained already. She seems to be going outside well thus far.
I don't know if any of you watch Good Morning Arkansas (Ch 7) on Saturdays, but Macy was the dog on it last Saurday. Her name was Freda, but we changed it because she did not even know her name was supposed to be Freda. If she had known her name we wouldn't have changed it, but she doesn't so we did;) The lady on the show with her said that she stayed with her at her house the night before, and she was the perfect house guest with no accidents or chewing.

how exciting to get a new furry addition to the family! how's makayla with the new dog? she's cute, btw. :)
Makayla just seems to do her thing regardless of what the dogs do. She does seem excited because she was standing at our living room window today just laughing and watching the dogs. She has just recently started to try to play with montana. I think Macy will be more receptive.
Thanks for the cute comment, btw:)
