Today has been a paci day!

Makayla is not usually too crazy about her pacifiers. I use the plural form of this word because we now own every style of pacifier that you can buy at wal-mart. She wouldn't take any of them. Today, she was willing to take all of them. She is really enjoying her rice cereal. She has been stopped up by it a couple of times, but she loves the juice that she gets because of that. She went to daycare this morning while I cleaned up the house. She loves her teacher mrs. aprill, so I always assume that she would rather be there with her and the other kinds than with me while I am cleaning and running errands. She generally likes to be the center of our attention! I have a lot of pictures for you today. The last one is super funny!

Busy Week!

We have had such a busy week. Nathan has been sick, so he has not been doing much with Makayla because we don't want her to get sick again. Yesterday, Makayla and I went to see her Granna at Castleberry school in Newport. She really did not know what to think about all the new people and a new place. We came back home in the afternoon. She must have been really worn out, because she slept for 10 hours last night. I actually woke her up to feed her because she kept trying to wake up, but would keep going back to sleep. She ate this morning and slept for another 2 hours. She is wide awake and talking my ear off at the moment. She is practically yelling at me because her voice is so loud! I have a few pictures today, because I did not have time to post them throughout the week. MAkayla also started eating rice cereal last Friday. She loves it! There are a couple of pictures of her eating her cereal below.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Makayla celebrated her very first Valentine's Day today. She went to daycare wearing her Valentines bib that she got from her Aunt Connie. At daycare, her class exchanged valentines. Makayla took Spongebob valentines (her father's choice) to pass out to her friends. Her cold is almost all gone. She is rarely congested. She is smiling and talking a lot. Here is a picture of her wearing her Valentine's bib while she is playing with her pink puppy that we got her for Valentine's Day. The second picture was taken a few days ago. She is able to sit up much better in her Bumpo seat now.

Cousins came to visit

This weekend Makayla's cousins, Mistie, Kaylie, and McKenzie, came to visit. I think that Makayla enjoyed all the attention. Here is a picture of the 4 grandchildren on nathan's side of the family. Mistie is the one holding Makayla. It is the 1st time that she has held her. We have all had a great time!

Makayla is still a little sick, but she is getting better. This was really just a small cold, probably just sinus problems really.

Another cold

Makayla has another little cold this week. She is congested and has a little cough. This time does not seem to be nearly as bad as her cold a couple of weeks ago. I think that this one is primarily a sinus problem due to the drastic change in the temperature outside. She is sleeping better at night, so I don't think that she is too sick.

Here is a picture that I took of her this morning before she puked all over this cute new outfit that she got from her Granna. This is also the outfit that she wore for her pictures last week. We get to go view them this Friday. I am so excited!

Super Bowl Sunday

We went to church this morning. Makayla went to the nursery. She took a nap while we were in the service. We came home after church and watched "Lost" that we had saved on our Tivo. Makayla and I took a nap after the show was over.

Another Saturday at Grandma's

Makayla and I went to visit Grandma in Searcy at Harding Place. We met my mom and grandma's dogs there. Makayla had a great day. She was so happy and smiled most of the time. We had so much fun that it was 5:00 before we knew it. Nathan went to Dillard's because they were having a sale. He got himself a shirt to wear to the gym since he now works out on his lunch break, but he also bought Makayla a really cute outfit. The outfit has a pink shirt with a pink and brown flower and a pink and brown bow . The pants have pink and brown flowers. It is so cute. She is going to wear it to Lynny Penny's on Monday after I wash it.

PICTURE DAY!

Today was the big day. We have been practicing the picture position for weeks, and all of our hard work payed off. Makayla did great. She smiled for all of her pictures. She rolled over a few times when the photographer was taking her picture. Apparently, She was in the mood to show off. Her grandaddy came along to help if we needed him. He really got her to smile great big for the camera. After pictures we all went to Chilli's to eat lunch with Nathan while he was on his lunch break from work. She slept most of the time we were in the restaurant. It is much warmer today. It was a good day to get her out for pictures.
