I guess that it is a bit late, but these are some pictures that I took of Makayla's little party.

tantrums=rolling
I have been really concerned that Makayla was not rolling both ways. She had rolled from back to belly once like 2 months ago or something obscene like that. I heeded the advice of some of the wise BBC moms to just leave her alone and let her figure it out on her own. She did roll a few times this evening. Makayla is still not too excited about it. Actually, she was pretty mad, so she rolled over while she was throwing a tantrum and a couple of times after
Can you see the family resemblance?
I have been trying to post this for so long. The similarities are just uncanny!
This is me. Sorry, It is a picture of a picture because I couldn't get it out of the frame.

Happy 6 months birthday, Makayla.
Makayla is 6 months old today. How crazy is that? I think that Nathan and I may have a small party for her this weekend or maybe tomorrow night. Cheesy, I know, but party hats will definitely be involved.
She is trying really hard to sit up. Well, she tries on her terms. We try to help her when she wants it.

Having Help

Sitting up by herself. This was very short lived. You will see what I mean.

Whoa! There she goes. See what I mean? Good thing her Daddy was there, huh.
Talk it up, Girl!
Makayla has always been our little social butterfly if that is what you want to call it. She has always been very outgoing and has wanted to interact with people a lot. Our Little ones are quickly becoming little people instead of babies.
Please ignore the background sock!
She will say "Mama", "Dada", and she said "hey" over and over in the car the other day. She is saying these words, but I know that she has no idea what they mean. It is just so much fun to teach her new things. We have really been working with her on "Mama" and "Dada" (Mama came first:), but I guess that she just picked up on the "hey" because I always greet her with that word when I see her, pick her up, or when I am trying to comfort her. She was bound to pick that one up sooner or later because I say it to her so much without noticing. She does say Mama when she cries a lot of the time. That is really weird, because they are not supposed to be able to make the connection of the names to the people until much later that this, so why does she cry my name?
