Outside Time

Makayla loves to play outside. The weather has been so nasty for the past couple of weeks that she wouldn't typically get to spend much time outside.
Typically...That is the key word here.

At Montessori they consider learning as "Dirty Work". Montessori focuses on hands on learning. That means that in order to learn about mud she would have to experience mud. That is definitely happened this week. Not only has she learned about mud but also water puddles. She just had to learn how her bottom felt at the bottom of the puddles on the playground...Three times.

I will post some of those pics later on this week. I hope that we have more nice days like the ones in the pictures in this post because it has been raining here for 2 weeks.

HEY! it's heather...from the montessori school...i followed your link form jennifer's blog! i love your blog...i also love that you understand/can appreciate the "dirty work"...haha...i love seeing children unafraid of being dirty as jaden has had to go to therapy in effort to tolerate being dirty! i am so glad you guys found CMS...makayla is a joy...we need to swap recipes!
